Animals are our friends and deserve to be treated with love and respect. There are all kinds of unfortunate circumstances that lead perfectly nice animals to need new homes — usually because they have been abandoned, neglected, or mistreated by their previous owners. These unfortunate animals need kind people like you to come along and give them the home they deserve. You can help out by volunteering with local animal shelters and rescue groups. There are many different ways you can support animal adoption agencies in your area and make the world a friendlier place for all these animals looking for a second chance at life. A lot of dogs need new homes because they are still waiting to be rescued. If you want to help out, you can become a dog foster for your local animal shelter or rescue group. A foster home is just a temporary home for animals waiting to be put up for adoption or be processed for adoption. By providing a temporary home for dogs in need, you enable your local shelter to reduce stress on their resources and increase the number of animals they can save by taking animals out of their stressful kennels and giving them a home environment.

Please take a few moments to review the following items prior to applying to adopt a dog. Check out our FAQ’s and review our ‘all things information’ post. This provides valuable insight and can answer most questions you may have, even those about the application and adoption process.

Remember there is a $15 application processing fee donation which can be paid via one of the services here. Thanks for your interest in adopting a dog into a forever home. Without caring people like you, we would not be successful in saving the lives of so many ‘angels’.

If you are an approved adopter, and have not adopted, you have first choice of the next dog you are interested in, as long as we feel the dog is the right fit and has the right personality for their home.
